The EDM scene here in Corner Brook is . . . well . . . pretty much non-existent. All the dance-bars (all two of them) consist of hack-DJs who only play the same Top-40 requests over and over again. It's pathetic.
Thankfully, I've teamed up with a couple of guys to try and change all that. E.M.P. will consist of four DJs including myself, MD (Mark Adams), "That Mexican DJ" (Manuel Gutierrez), and special guest DJ Jim Bones (James Coffin). It's being hosted at the Backlot (the SWGC campus bar at the end of University Drive) at 10:00 PM. Cover is only $2.00 and ID for 19 is required (sorry kids - we'll do an all-ages show next time).
Since this is the *only* EDM event in the area, the collection of EDM styles will be diverse. I'll be playing a lot of mash-ups and some Electro(clash), possibly some French House as well.
We might even have a merchandise booth - in which case I'm going to attempt to have a new EP ready! No promises, but keep your eyes peeled!
